We headed off for camp on Tuesday 14th June and we were all VERY excited. There were going to be some great activities and lots of new things to learn. We were ready for an adventure!
Here we all are ready for a fun time at camp.
We are learning about the Aboriginal way of life and their tools and weapons used for hunting, fishing and gatheringAfter listening to a Dreaming story, we painted our faces with ochre.
Dinner time!!! We ate all our meals in the dining room and the food was delicious.
What is happening here?
Story time. After a really long day, which included a night walk, Jane read all the classes a story.
It's time to head off to the Magic Forest and see what we can find.

We're making paper. Hope it isn't too tricky! We are about to put flowers and leaves into our wet paper.
Time to squeeze out the excess water.
Life in the dorms was F_U_N. We even had a pillow fight.
Ah! Listen to the peace and quiet.

I have some very delicious gingerbread people to sell.
As part of our learning in Money, we had a class Trading table. everyone could bring things from home to sell and then they could bring $2 to spend. At the end of buying and selling we made a table and recorded how much money everyone had left. We then talked about profit and loss and breaking even. We had lots of fun.

We decided to share our learning about healthy pizzas at our whole school assembly. We dressed up as chefs with aprons and hats. Callum was the famous Chef Vitali, Lily was Guiseppe, Isabella was Marco and Michael was Luigi. We shared some information about pizzas and how and where they were made. We all made our own cardboard pizza and put mushrooms and other vegetables on it. We waved them around during our Pizza song that we had created.
We have been learning about healthy eating and we made some yummy, healthy pizzas.
We made apple pancakes at Grab 5. We used Granny Smith apples. We mixed milk,flour, eggs and apples in a mixing bowl. Ali put them in a frypan to cook. When they were ready, Jane and Ali put yoghurt and honey on them. We each got a plate and a spoon. The pancakes were delicious!
Tanaye and Lily are doing the dirty dishes. We hope they are sparkling clean. We followed a Procedure piece of writing to make our pancakes. Some of us might make them at home.
I am learning to create a blog and then we will all be able to share what we have been learning in class. What would you like to share with others on our class blog?
